Plymouth Gin debuts honey flavour
By Rupert HohwielerPernod Ricard-owned Plymouth Gin will launch a honey flavour next month to cater to new experiences and to ‘those wanting to explore different tastes’.

The gin is made with a natural honey flavour and uses the brand’s original recipe from 1793. As such, it has golden honey and vanilla notes, alongside a juniper and citrus finish.
Bottled at 41.2% ABV, it is described as a ‘delicate and smooth expression’.
Toni Ingram, global brand director for Plymouth Gin, said: “Honey has surged in popularity across many spirit categories, however, very few have taken on the challenge in gin. We have and we are sure it will create a buzz.
“Our consumers are increasingly interested in exploring innovative flavour profiles. What better than with an exciting new flavoured gin that uses the highest quality ingredients and remains true to the tradition behind the timeless taste of Plymouth Gin?”
The gin is presented with a bottle designed to celebrate the product’s star ingredient, the honeybee. It is made of jet-black glass and features a gold and black label illustrated with a honeybee, honeycomb and honey drips.
Plymouth Honey will be available from June for an RRP of €42 (US$47).
The gin is made at Black Friars distillery in the southwest coast of England. It is located in a former 15th-century monastery and is said to be the oldest working distillery in the country.
Honey marks the sixth product in the Plymouth Gin range. A number of the brand’s gins picked up Gold medals at The Gin Masters 2024 – First Tasting.
Last week, The Spirits Business caught up with Pernod Ricard’s vice-president of marketing for global gin, Murielle Dessenis, who explained why flavoured gin is “here to stay”.
