Jack Daniel’s and McLaren F1 reprise partnership

Brown-Forman-owned Jack Daniel’s has marked the continuation of its partnership with the McLaren Formula One team by releasing a limited edition higher-proof whiskey.

Jack Daniel’s and McLaren Racing have reprised their partnership for a third year

The 2025 limited edition McLaren Racing x Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey has been elevated with an increased ABV of 43%, and incorporates bold packaging designs that nod to the ‘unmatched histories’ of both brands.

The whiskey is comprised of Jack Daniel’s classic grain bill of 80% corn, 8% rye and 12% malted barley.

It has been distilled at the brand’s distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, and has been mellowed ‘drop by drop’ through 10 feet of charcoal before maturing in new, American white oak barrels that have been ‘handcrafted to the highest standards’.

Having been bottled at a higher proof, the whiskey offers a richer, ‘more robust’ flavour profile than its 40% ABV flagship expression, with a medium bodied blend of balanced caramel, vanilla, and toasted oak, with a creamy, clean finish.

Jamie Butler, Jack Daniel’s global brand director, said: “2024 was a fantastic year for the McLaren Formula One team, which saw the team secure the coveted Constructors’ Championship title. We couldn’t be more proud to partner with a brand that continues to redefine success in the pursuit of continued improvement.

“This year’s McLaren x Jack Daniel’s limited edition bottle features a new label and packaging design, and a higher proof that embodies that same spirit that Mr Jack himself lived by – every day we make it, we make it the best we can.”

The bottle celebrates the new racing season and the third year of the global partnership between the two brands.

Nick Martin, co-chief commercial officer of McLaren Racing, added: “We’re delighted to launch our third limited edition bottle in collaboration with Jack Daniel’s, offering our fans a special way of celebrating another exciting year of going racing together.”

The limited edition bottle will be available for purchase in the UK from Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.

Last month, Jack Daniel’s 10 Year Old made its global debut, and The Spirits Business was among the first to try it outside of the US.
