Ghera is said to bring a wealth of experience in the beverage sector to the brand, having previously worked as an account manager across various social media-focused roles.

Desi Daru highlighted Ghera expertise in marketing strategy and his creative approach, noting his collaborations with several well-known beverage brands to develop engaging campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.

In addition to his professional experience, Ghera has established a strong personal brand online, amassing 70,000 followers on Instagram and over 400,000 followers on TikTok, where he focuses on content related to food, drink, and travel.

Ghera said of his new role: “I first discovered Desi Daru last year through their immensely popular Alphonso Mango vodka. After one taste, I was instantly hooked.

“The flavour was so authentic, unlike anything I’d tasted before, and after seeing how quickly the brand was gaining traction, especially after winning industry accolades. I knew I wanted to be a part of it.”

At Desi Daru, Ghera will lead the brand’s marketing efforts, focusing on enhancing its digital presence and fostering deeper relationships with consumers in the UK and potential global markets.

The new hire follows the appointment of Amit Nakrani as the new strategic operations and technology partner. Described as a ‘pivotal moment’ in Desi Daru’s growth, Ghera joins the brand as it continues to raise investment and expand into more global markets.

Mohit Singh, founder of Desi Daru, said: “We’re very excited to welcome Dee to the Desi Daru team. His deep understanding of viral content creation, along with his passion for our vodkas and the drinks industry as a whole, makes him the perfect fit for our brand.

“We can’t wait to see what fresh ideas he’ll be bringing to the table and how this will elevate our brand both digitally and in the real world.”

Earlier this year, Desi Daru partnered with Dhall Food and Beverages to make its debut in South Asia and the Middle East.
