Aqua Shard’s new menu celebrates British icons
The bar at restaurant Aqua Shard, located on the 31st floor of London’s Shard, has launched a cocktail menu titled British Icons, celebrating the UK’s influential historical figures.

Aqua Shard is presenting a collection of cocktails that celebrate the UK’s iconic figures who have shaped British culture.
The menu starts with The Windsor Whisperer, which pays homage to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, combining gin and champagne with floral hibiscus, rose liquor, and a lemon foam.
Churchill’s Vice, on the other hand, reflects Sir Winston Churchill’s legacy with a mix of rum, fig liqueur, and a chocolate cigar garnish.
Continuing on, The Penny Lane Punch aims to capture the nostalgia of The Beatles and British street life, blending vodka with passion fruit wine, elderflower and vetiver.
Inspired by Manchester’s 90s Britpop scene, the Wonderwave offers a fresh twist on the Margarita, featuring silver Tequila, marigold infusion, and aloe vera wine. The Fleming’s Remedy, meanwhile, reimagines the classic Penicillin cocktail, honouring Sir Alexander Fleming with aged Scotch, truffle honey, and ginger.
A cocktail called Girl in the Glass is inspired by Banksy and Britain’s street art movement, and fuses rum with sake, dragon fruit, and lychee. The Earl’s Negroni marries Italian aperitivo with British tea culture, combining gin, Campari, Amaro and Earl Grey, served from a teapot for the modern noble.
There are also two alcohol-free options on the menu: The Freddie’s Love, which channels the spirit of Queen’s frontman Freddie Mercury through notes of rose, hibiscus, and grapefruit, and the Zesty Ride, which honours cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins in a zesty blend of citrus and botanicals.
The menu is available at both at the bar and within the dining room, which Aqua Shard noted to ensure a ‘traditional British experience’ throughout the venue.
The menu can also be enjoyed while taking in views of London’s landmarks, including the London Bridge, Tower Bridge, and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Last December, The Shard’s restaurants and bars offered a limited edition menu of seven festive cocktails.
