Laki Kane is best known for its tropical interior, rum-forward cocktail list and lively weekend brunches. Its relaunch is said to mark a new era for the Islington venue, with a renewed focus on quality, programming and concept-led hospitality.

The relaunch will spotlight a Caribbean-inspired menu by chef Collin Brown, whose 30-year career has seen him earn a AA Rosette award, as well as cook for celebrities such as Beyoncé, Vin Diesel and Katy Perry.

In addition, the venue has undergone some subtle interior changes including renovations to the floor, ceiling and decor, all of which has been designed to elevate the tropical escape theme.

The space will continue to focus on immersive experiences including bottomless brunches, DJ-led events, and cocktail masterclasses.

With increased demand for hybrid venues offering drink, entertainment and dining in one, Laki Kane says its repositioning targets both London nightlife lovers and casual diners seeking escapism.

Georgi Radev, co-founder of Laki Kane, said: “We’ve always wanted Laki Kane to be more than just a bar – it’s an immersive escape. With this relaunch, we’ve brought in world-class talent, refreshed the space, and elevated the experience while staying true to our roots.

“Partnering with the likes of chef Collin Brown has allowed us to push the boundaries of tropical dining in London, and we’re excited to introduce this next chapter to a wider audience.”

Laki Kane will remain a cocktail and music-led destination, with the addition of an elevated food offering inspired by the islands.

The venue will reopen on Islington’s Upper Street on 16 May.
