ItalSpirits pulls out of Roma Bar Show
By Lauren BowesThe group behind Italicus and Savoia will no longer take part in the organisation of the upcoming 2025 edition of Roma Bar Show.

ItalSpirits was founded by Giuseppe Gallo and offers brand strategy, product development and trade advocacy services. It is also the holding company of Gallo’s two aperitivo brands.
The group has been a founding supporter and core partner since the show’s launch in 2019.
ItalSpirits said that “as the project enters a new phase of evolution”, it has chosen “to step back from its involvement in the next edition due to diverging views on the event’s direction and priorities”.
Gallo said: “Due to differences in vision regarding the future direction of the project, we have taken the decision to step away from the 2025 edition. ItalSpirits and its team members will not play an active role in the organisation of the event. Over the coming months, we will be reviewing our position as partners.
“Our focus remains on celebrating the heritage of Italian spirits while innovating for the future. We continue to believe in the power of collaboration, creativity and quality experiences to move our industry forward.”
The brand thanked “the Italian spirits community, collaborators and hospitality professionals who have been part of this journey over the past five years. The company remains proud of what has been achieved and looks ahead to exploring new and meaningful opportunities to support the drinks industry – both in Italy and globally.”
The Spirits Business has reached out to Roma Bar Show for a comment.
This year’s edition is due to be held on 26-27 May at the Palazzo dei Congressi in the Italian capital. The event will feature an awards ceremony, with prizes for Best Italian Cocktail Bar, Best Italian Bartender, Best Social Media Presence and more.
ItalSpirits’ brand Italicus hosts its own yearly cocktail competition, named The Art of Italicus Aperitivo Challenge. Pernod Ricard invested in the brand in 2020.
