Its existing portfolio includes its flagship lemon expression, as well as Blue, which is tropical, and Pink, which is flavoured with raspberry.

As with its other flavours, Hooch Cherry is a blend of real fruit juice and vodka, sitting at 3.4% ABV.

The brand is targeting both ‘dedicated Hooch fans and adventurous drinkers alike’ with the launch, which it hopes will encourage nostalgia for childhood cherryade.

It claims cherry is on the rise, with Pinterest predicting ‘cherry coded’ as a trending colour and flavour for 2025. Searches for the term on the platform are up by 325% year on year.

According to NIQ RTD data, cherry flavours in the RTD sector soared 225% by value and by 182% by volume.

The new flavour will be available in a 440ml can in UK on-trade venues from this month, with a 700ml bottle launching later this year.

Brand manager Jacob Barrett said: “As demand for bold fruit flavours continues to grow, Cherry Hooch is the perfect way to shake up the drinks aisle and on-trade venues. Whether enjoying it straight from the can or mixing it up in creative cocktails, this new flavour is here to make a statement.”

Despite making a name in the canned sector, Hooch made the move into draught last month.

Franklin & Sons producer Global Brands bought Hooch from Molson Coors Beverage Company in 2023.
