Cask-aged gin Cygnet 77 makes debut
By Melita KielyCygnet has released a gin that was aged for more than 12 months in Welsh whisky barrels with Manuka honey.

Cygnet 77 made its debut at luxury London department store Harrods this week, in the Harrods Baccarat Bar, and coincided the launch with World Earth Day on 22 April.
Distilled and matured at the Copperworks Distillery in Swansea, Wales, Cygnet 77 is said to have flavours of juniper, camomile, caramelised Manuka honey and woody notes.
Andrew Levitas, a film maker and artist who co-founded Cygnet with his wife, classical singer Katherine Jenkins OBE, said: “With Cygnet we’ve taken a visionary approach with our sustainable efforts, leading by example and pushing the boundaries of what can be achieved by luxury brands in general.
“From our lighter-weight, hand-crafted decanter, to our category breakthrough liquids, Cygnet 77 is yet another example of how we disbanded with convention from the outset, bravely daring to push the boundaries and reinforcing our ethos that Cygnet guarantees quality without compromise.”

The product’s name is a nod to the number 77’s relation to embracing transformation.
Cygnet 77 joins a trio of existing products in the portfolio: Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin, Cygnet 22, and ready-to-drink Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin & Tonic.
Bottled at 44% ABV, Cygnet 77 has an RRP of £129 (US$172).
It will be available exclusively at Harrods until 22 May 2025, before being rolled out to additional retailers.
Michael Ward, managing director, Harrods, added: “At Harrods, we uphold the highest standards for the products and brands we make available to our clientele and Cygnet is a perfect example of a luxury brand bravely leading their category without compromising on quality or sustainability.”
In 2024, Cygnet Gin was recognised with industry accolades, including two Gold medals at The Gin Masters 2024 and a Master medal at The Luxury Masters 2024. It also won a Silver medal for its canned G&T in The Pre-Mixed, RTD & Hard Seltzer Masters 2024.
