Third time’s a charm for Jameson Triple Triple
By Lauren BowesPernod Ricard-owned Jameson Irish Whiskey has launched its third Triple Triple expression, a travel retail exclusive aged in Marsala wine casks.

The release follows the Chestnut Edition, which launched last month, and Triple Triple’s debut whisky, Málaga Cask Edition, which launched in 2019.
All whiskeys in the Triple Triple series are triple-distilled and aged in a combination of three casks. Bourbon and oloroso Sherry casks feature in all releases, with the third cask changing each time.
The newest edition adds hand-selected Marsala casks from Trapani, Sicily – a first for the Irish whiskey brand.
The Marsala casks are crafted from American white oak and seasoned with wine by Florio Winery for two to three years, imparting flavours of ‘apricot, toffee apple, walnut and woodland spices’.
The emptied casks are then transported to Midleton Distillery in County Cork.
Master distiller Kevin O’Gorman said: “This limited release of Jameson Triple Triple Marsala Cask Edition is a wonderful example of how we continue to innovate while staying true to our tradition of triple distillation and meticulous cask selection at Midleton Distillery.
“This expression provides a unique opportunity to showcase the rich flavour contribution from these exceptional casks within the Jameson family, and we are excited for everyone to try it.”
The limited edition whiskey is bottled at 40% ABV and available exclusively in global travel retail for US$45.50/€39.50/£37.
On the nose, it offers ‘fresh and vibrant fruit-led aromas’, with ‘toffee apple, vanilla, and chocolate-dipped walnuts’ on the palate. The finish is ‘lasting’ with ‘gentle spices’ lingering until the end.
Jameson has created a variety of activations for St Patrick’s Day this year, including a partnership with musician Anderson .Paak, a TV campaign, and a collaboration with a pizza brand and food influencer.
