Glenmorangie and Harrison Ford illuminate Scottish highlands
By Rupert HohwielerScotch whisky brand Glenmorangie has released the eighth instalment of its campaign with Harrison Ford.

Ford, known for his roles in Star Wars, Indiana Jones and Blade Runner, among others, partnered with the brand last month for the campaign titled Once Upon a Time in Scotland.
The campaign features a video series of 12 episodes, which were filmed over three days in summer 2024.
Ford said he “loved working with the team at the distillery – they were all great. The whole process of filming was full of unanticipated joys: little unexpected moments”.
Titled The Mountain, episode eight depicts the actor with series director Joel Edgerton, dressed in his Scottish kilt and debating with his own ‘inner voice’. The episode is shot against the backdrop of Loch Glass in north-east Scotland.
Ford ends the video after a day of shooting for the campaign, in front of a crackling fire, enjoying a glass of Glenmorangie and remarking “nice”.
To mark the campaign and episode, Glenmorangie lit up projections of the actor in front of various landmarks in the Scottish highlands, including the Three Sisters of Glencoe, Castle Stalker and Dunrobin Castle.
Recently, we spoke to the CEO of The Glenmorangie Company, Caspar MacRae, who told us that drinkers are more ‘occasion-specific’ than brand loyal.
The Once Upon a Time in Scotland campaign was one of our top spirits marketing moves from January.
