Papa Salt Gin launches in Tesco
By Miona MadsenMargot Robbie’s gin brand, Papa Salt, has made its UK supermarket debut at Tesco following its market launch in June 2024.

Tesco has become the first UK supermarket to stock Papa Salt Coastal Gin.
The premium gin brand was founded in 2023 by five friends: actor Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, Regan Riskas, and Charlie Maas.
Following the gin’s UK debut exclusively at Harvey Nichols in June 2024, Papa Salt has expanded its distribution with a nationwide listing in Tesco stores.
The listing marks a major market milestone for the brand, which is distributed in the UK by DrinksOne.
Maas commented: “We’re thrilled to be on sale at Tesco. On the day of the release, Tom and I went into the Tesco Hammersmith Superstore and bought a few bottles. That used to be our local grocery store — it was wild to find our gin on the shelf there.”
Papa Salt was developed in collaboration with the Lord Byron Distillery in Byron Bay, Australia, which operates on renewable energy and zero waste.
The coastal gin is distilled in small batches using traditional methods and uses a unique blend of local botanicals such as wattle seed, wax flower, and oyster shell.
Papa Salt is now available at Tesco stores nationwide and online with a suggested retail price of £39 (US$49) in 700ml format, bottled at 42.8% ABV.
In November 2024, the brand partnered with Virgin Australia to offer a ready-to-drink Paloma on its inflight menu.
