Neurita Tequila celebrates 169% growth
By Miona MadsenFlavoured Tequila brand Neurita experienced ‘significant’ growth in 2024 as it pursued global expansion and strategic partnerships.

The Tequila brand has reportedly experienced a 169% year-on-year growth since its launch two years ago.
Founded by Lucy Smith, a global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) marketing expert and former head of innovation for Nestlé Beverages, Neurita was born from a desire to fill a gap in the market, catering to women with a premium offering.
Smith commented: “We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved in just two years. It’s been an exciting ride, with significant milestones that have set us up for even greater things in the future. From our international expansion to strategic partnerships and winning top awards, we’re only getting started.”
In 2024, Neurita Tequila expanded to several new markets, including Australia, where the brand is available through Coles Liquor, Liquorland, and First Choice Liquor.
Neurita also expanded into the French market in partnership with distributor L’Explorateur du Goût and entered travel retail with Gmax.
In a milestone year, the flavoured Tequila was also present in some of the UK’s top bars and restaurants, and was featured at London Fashion Week, Oh Polly, and in British Vogue.
In October, the brand partnered with working capital platform Ferovinum, opening doors for distribution opportunities in 2025, and successfully raised 122% of its funding target via Crowdcube.
To strengthen its team, Neurita appointed former Don Papa and William Grant & Sons executive Chris Rigby as its strategy advisor. A new sales director is also due to start in February.
In addition to being recognised with eight new industry accolades in 2024, the brand was also shortlisted for Tequila Brand of the Year at The Spirits Business Awards.
In 2025, Neurita is poised for continued expansion, enhanced global partnerships, and innovative initiatives.
Smith concluded: “We’re proud of everything we’ve achieved so far, but we’re just getting started. Bring on 2025 – we’re ready to take Neurita Tequila to new heights.”
