SB Advent: V Rum

Crafted in a sustainable distillery in Hampshire, England that operates using 100% renewable electricity, V Rum produces three products: Spiced Rum, Premium White Rum, and Overproof White Rum.
The spiced rum is described as ‘sumptuously sweet’, the white rum as ‘crystal-clear’, and the overproof as ‘bold and powerful’. And with each expression bringing a unique flavour and profile to the table, V Rum has decided to group them together in smaller sizes, in an experience pack ideal for gifting over the holiday season.
Premium White Rum is bottled at 40% ABV, Overproof White Rum sits at 60%, and Spiced Rum at 37.5%, with the miniature bottles packaged in 50ml aluminium bottles. The pack can be purchased for £14.99 (US$19) from the brand’s website.
The small format also means that it could fit snugly inside a Christmas stocking – and who’s going to complain about waking up to three bottles of rum on Christmas morning?

Candy Cane Martini
Ingredients
- 50ml V Premium White Rum
- 20ml White chocolate liqueur
- 20ml White mint liqueur
- 10ml Raspberry syrup
- Candy sane
Method: Combine V Rum, both liqueurs and raspberry syrup into a shaker with ice. Stir with an upturned bar spoon for 60 rotations – strain and serve with a candy cane.
V Snowball
Ingredients:
- 25ml V Premium White Rum
- 50ml Advocaat
- 100ml London Essence crafted lemonade
Method: Add all ingredients to a highball glass filled with ice and stir well to combine. Once mixed, garnish and enjoy this classic Christmas cocktail throughout the winter season.
V Gingerbread Espresso Martini
Ingredients:
- 35ml V Premium White Rum
- 25ml V Overproof White Rum
- 60ml No Apologies cold brew coffee
- 12.5ml Monin gingerbread syrup
- 25 ml Cocchi Torini
Method: Fill a Boston shaker with ice. Add all ingredients and shake hard for 30 seconds. Double strain into a Martini glass and garnish with chocolate powder and gingerbread.
