Mirror Margarita reveals canned format
Ready-to-drink (RTD) brand Mirror Margarita has launched a new canned format for its signature cocktail.
Founder and agave expert, Deano Moncrieffe, has lowered the serve’s ABV to 10% and added light carbonation to ‘enhance’ the liquid for on-the-go consumption.
He said: ‘‘The new format enhances excellence in the canned RTD space and supports the brand’s growth. The new product offers a convenient, portable option still encompassing award-winning mixology, and adds to our bottled collection ideal for special occasions and gifting.’’
The liquid is described as crisp, clean and fresh, with a balance of sweet and sour notes alongside a ‘delicate touch’ of grapefruit.
The serve is made using 100% Cazcabel blanco Tequila, mixed with blended citrus oils and organic malic acid. The result is a ‘perfectly balanced’ Margarita that is said to encapsulate the flavours of agave.
The brand says the new serve simultaneously taps into consumer trends for lower ABV, more-mindful drinking, and lovers of popular hard seltzers and spritzes.
The brand says the new format also presents a point of difference from other successful canned Margarita products, as it has been taken directly from London-based agaveria Hacha’s award-winning bar menu.
The gift pack includes six 150ml cans, available from the Mirror Margarita website, Amazon and Not on the Highstreet.
For businesses to stock the new format, cans will be available to buy as a case of 28 when purchased direct.
Mirror Margarita became a standalone brand in 2021, and has since secured listings for its bottled format in Sainsbury’s.
