CopperBay reveals festive menu
Paris-based cocktail bar CopperBay at Hôtel Lancaster has launched a new menu featuring four festive serves honouring the Provence region.
Inspired by the region’s Christmas Eve traditions, each cocktail is described as ‘a gourmet experience that reminds guests of festive childhood memories’.
The first cocktail of the festive menu, Pompa a l’òli|Pompe à huile, is inspired by a sweet bread made with olive oil and infused with lemon peel, serving as a centrepiece during the Christmas Eve feast. The cocktail is made with gin fat-washed with olive oil, Noilly Prat amber vermouth, Mauresco Pastis, lemon and orange blossom cordial.
Baïasses|Lavande is made with lavender honey and raspberry and ginger eaux de vie, paying homage to the tradition of gifting lavender in Christmas stockings throughout the Provence region. Other ingredients in the concoction include St Germain elderflower liqueur and pear cider.
The Nogat |Nougat is a blend of spiced rum infused with chai spices. It represents one of the 13 desserts unique to the region. To bring the dessert to life, the cocktail includes black tea, apples, and almonds with milk and almond milk.
To conclude the menu, the Pachichòis|Mendiants is made with Cognac, Pedro Ximénez Sherry, white cocoa, egg yolks and hazelnut liquor, taking inspiration from the mendiant bite-sized chocolate discs covered in nuts and dried fruit.
Celebrating ‘A Christmas in Province’, the new menu offers Parisians and travellers an opportunity to delve into festive spirits in an almost 100-year-old setting at Hôtel Lancaster.
CopperBay Lancaster opened in spring 2024 and is known for its food-inspired cocktails. It is located off the Champs Elysées, which is known for its high-end stores, cafés and beautiful avenues.
