Black Lines’ Oatnog returns

Bottled cocktail company Black Lines has brought back its annual Oatnog for the festive season, made with a base of Two Drifters Rum and oat milk.

The annual sell-out release is a dairy-free rendition of the traditional Christmas serve Eggnog, made with Two Drifters Rum, Oatly Barista oat milk, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla.

Each 750ml bottle contains five serves, and is designed to be poured straight over ice, or served warm by heating on the stove and garnished with ground nutmeg.

It boasts notes of wintry spices, buttery rum and is said to offer a velvety rich finish.

It is suitable for vegans, and contains gluten.

A limited run of bottles, exclusively for the festive season, are available to purchase on Black Lines’ online store, blacklinesdrinks.com, and a number of other retailers, including Whole Foods and Selfridges, with an RRP of £19 (US$25.25).

This year £1 (US$1.30) from every bottle sold will be donated to Save The Children’s Gaza Crisis emergency fund. The money will go directly towards providing life-saving essentials to children and families affected by war, including food, water, shelter and mental health support.

The last order date is 23 December.

Black Lines was founded by Kuleen Khimasia and Casey Sorenson in 2017.

Earlier this year, it added a limited edition White Negroni to its range to celebrate Negroni Week. It also added a Hugo Spritz to its permanent line-up.

Black Lines’ cocktails can be enjoyed at its bar, Little Lines, located in the Rixo clothes store in London’s Chelsea, which opened in October 2023.

The brand also offers cocktails on tap to the on-trade, with nine serves available in 20-litre kegs that connect to an existing draught system.

Two Drifters Rum won the Spirits Sustainability Award at The Spirits Business Awards 2024.
