Havana Club reveals festive edition
Cuban rum brand Havana Club has partnered with Toronto-based goldsmith Jonathan Raksha to create a limited edition bottle for the festive season.
Raksha is known for his celebrity jewellery designs, with music stars including Rihanna, A$AP Rocky and Post Malone having sported Raksha’s grillz and custom jewellery pieces.
Designed to stand out on shelves and the back bar, the Havana Club Añejo 7 Años bottle is said to blend Raksha’s artistry with his deep admiration for Cuban architecture and the island’s vibrant culture.
Raksha’s design nods to Havana’s ornate streets, blending history with modern luxury with shimmering gold accents and intricate diamond-like details.
Jules Ferrer, global brand manager at Havana Club, explained: “As a brand rooted in Cuban culture and craftsmanship, we’re excited to collaborate with such a bold and innovative artist like Jonathan Raksha. His design brings a new life to our flagship rum, celebrating the fusion of art, culture, and the exceptional quality Havana Club is known for across the world.”
The collaboration captures the essence of La Cubanía – the lively spirit of Cuba that the brand represents in its global Cuban Mode campaign.
Raksha describes his creation as “a piece of jewellery sprinkled with diamonds,” reflecting his connection to the sea and natural wonders
in every detail. His handwritten note on the bottle reads, “Like a glimmering jewel, her waters shine like diamonds. Rich in colour and spirit. My beloved Cuba.”
The Havana Club Añejo 7 Años x Jonathan Raksha edition will be available for a limited time at select retailers in 12 countries, including the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain, starting this month.
Last month, Havana Club revealed its updated Icónica Collection, dedicated to extra-aged prestige rare rums.
Pernod Ricard, owner of the rum brand, also signed a three-year partnership with Academy Music Group to offer its spirits portfolio at O2 Academy venues nationwide in the UK.
