Having made its debut into the US market last year, Cazcabel Tequila will launch into US travel retail this month, starting with New York JFK and San Francisco airports, where its blanco and coffee Tequila liqueur expressions will be stocked.

The initial launch period will be supported by display units, making the brand ‘highly visible’ across the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday seasons.

Chris Richards, global marketing director at Vamos Drinks, said: “We’re delighted to announce our expansion into the travel retail channel, which will allow us to share our brand story with more people over the world. With the existing Tequila offering within duty-free quite limited, it’s a great opportunity for consumers to try a high quality 100% agave additive-free Tequila at a more affordable price during their travels.”

Cazcabel said its mission is to grow the global footprint of the premium Tequila category by making great quality Tequila available at an accessible price, and educating consumers on what makes a great quality Tequila and the many ways it can be enjoyed.

The brand said partnering with Duty Free Global had allowed it to land retail spots in high footfall locations, with plans to be listed in the leading airport operators across all regions within the next 18 months, with its focus on major hubs building upon where it has local market distribution.

Cazcabel launched into European airports, including Cyprus, Portugal and Dublin, earlier this year.

The brand is available in more than 40 markets around the globe, and was named the leading independent Tequila outside US.
