Bemakers teams up with Svev glassware

Danish distribution platform Bemakers Trade has partnered with Norwegian bartender-designed glassware brand Svev.

Svev offers a wide range of durable, lightweight designs

Svev, meaning ‘to soar’ in Norwegian, is a range of glassware created by professional bartenders for bartenders. The creative team built the concept using their understanding of what makes a bar run smoothly, blending form and function.

Offering a sleek, modern, minimalistic design with a ‘weightless feel,’ the thin glass line is built to handle the demands of even the busiest bar.

Aleksandrs Sadovskis, product developer at Svev, said: “At our core, we pride ourselves on flexibility and the ability to craft unique, custom glassware tailored to meet the distinctive needs of bars and restaurants.

“Our glassware is not only designed to elevate presentation but also built with exceptional durability to withstand the demands of high-traffic environments.”

Svev offers a wide range of durable designs, from tumblers and Highballs to stemmed Martini and cocktail glasses.

Søren Krogh Sørensen, director of global brand adviser at Bemakers, commented: “Bemakers Trade is all about building a vibrant community where both the on- and off-trade can explore extraordinary and cutting-edge beverage brands from around the globe.

“Our platform gives buyers the freedom to explore and purchase on their own terms. Svev fits right into this vibe – bringing innovative glassware crafted by bartenders to those who truly appreciate quality and design. Together, we’re not just levelling up the bar experience; we’re strengthening the entire trade community.”

The glassware line is now available in Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, the Netherlands, and Austria through Svev’s webshop, which is powered by Bemakers.

Last month, the distributor raised €3.5 million (US$3.8m) in a seed funding round to boost its business in Europe.

This year, Bemakers secured a supply deal with Norway’s alcohol retail monopoly Vinmonopolet and expanded its operations in Sweden by establishing a warehouse to support its Systembolaget listing.
