British brand V Rum has unveiled its first spiced expression, designed for winter cocktails and slow sipping.

Produced at the brand’s state-of-the-art sustainable distillery in Hampshire, England, V Spiced boasts a subtle aromatic profile of tropical citrus fruits and warm sweet spices, complementing the smoky warmth of pineapple, banana and brown sugar.

V Rum Spiced features a new label made from 95% sugar cane waste and 5% hemp and linen, further cementing the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

The distillery operates using 100% renewable electricity. It also uses green gas provided by Ecotricity, an advanced heat-recovery system to mitigate emissions, and molasses from UK sugar production to limit air miles.

Carl Churchill, co-founder of V Rum, commented: “V Rum launched to the world just a few months ago, and the feedback has been incredible. The one thing that kept coming up, however, was how much people wanted to try a spiced version of our premium and sustainable British rum.

“We’ve been perfecting the recipe for months, and now we’re ready to introduce it to the world, just in time for winter and the delights of spiced rum punches or neat serves next to open fires.“

V Spiced is bottled at 37.5% ABV. It is available now from the brand’s website and retails for £27.99 (US$36).

The new expression joins the brand’s existing expressions, Premium White Rum, offered at 40% ABV and Overproof White Rum, at 60% ABV.

Last week, V Rum hosted a London RumFest closing party at The Prince in southwest London, where the new spiced expression made its debut.
