Spirit of the South West returns to Bristol
By Miona MadsenFollowing the success of its debut in 2023, Spirit of the South West festival is returning to Bristol next month on 9 November.

Taking place on Saturday November 9, the one-day event will be hosted at Spirited spirits shop on North Street in Bristol,
It is only festival dedicated exclusively to spirits producers from the region.
The day will bring together top producers from the West Country – Bristol, Gloucestershire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall.
The festival will run over two sessions, during which attendees will meet the people behind their favourite drinks and discover some new delights.
The event, which runs from 2pm-8pm, will feature sampling, stories, cocktails, and special surprises aimed at’ keeping even the most discerning spirits-lover happy’.
Confirmed attendees include Circumstance Distillery, Bristol’s first whisky distillery in nearly a century; Silver Circle, a craft distillery less than 30 miles from the city; Retribution, the Frome-based rum and whisky producer; and Pocketful of Stones, which will bring rum, gin, Tequila and whisky all the way from Penzance.
Katy Kennedy, founder of Spirited and Spirit of the South West, commented: “Last year was even more successful than we could have hoped with two sell-out sessions and some 16 distilleries represented.
“We’re returning bigger and better this year with increased capacity and even more distilleries present to showcase the amazing spirits they produce. It’s going to be an epic day once again.”
Tickets for the festival are now on sale at the shop’s website for £15 (US$19), including a discount on any bottles purchased. Guests can also sample spirits from all the producers in attendance.
Along with the distillers, Good Chemistry will provide beer alongside soft drinks and food.
Any brands keen to join should contact Kennedy, who founded the Spirited spirits specialist shop in 2022, for more information on exhibiting.
