Avallen celebrates World Calvados Week
By Miona MadsenClimate-positive spirits brand Avallen is celebrating World Calvados Week (20-27 October) by deepening its commitment to sustainability and the environment.

Through the initiative, Avallen hopes to bring together bars and their guests to champion the environment alongside cocktails.
It is part of the brand’s broader mission to combat climate change, support biodiversity, and champion sustainable farming practices in Normandy, France, where Avallen is produced.
Tim Etherington-Judge, co-founder, said: “We’re incredibly excited to celebrate World Calvados Week in a way that resonates with our core values. Our recognition as the number two top-trending and number five best-selling brandy in the world’s best bars is a testament to the quality of our product and commitment to the bartending community.
“But for us, it’s about more than just making great spirits – it’s about making a lasting, positive impact on our planet. And as my great mentor Gaz Regan used to say: ‘Bartenders can change the world.’”
During World Calvados Week, the brand, which is distributed in the UK by Mangrove Global, encourages bars worldwide to feature an Avallen Appletini on their menus. For every cocktail sold, the brand will donate to One Tree Planted.
In 2023, Avallen and participating bars planted 493 trees through World Calvados Day activations, helping with reforestation efforts worldwide.
Co-founder Stephanie Jordan added: “This World Calvados Week, we’re demonstrating that sustainability, fun, and quality can go hand in hand. We’re excited to continue leading the way in the spirits industry, showing that you can do good without compromising on flavour.”
Earlier this year, Avallen revealed it had planted almost 1,000 trees in Indonesia as part of a collaboration with EcoSpirits and Green Steps Group.
In July, the brand also launched Avallen Solutions consultancy, dedicated to fostering sustainability within the drinks and hospitality industries.
