Jack Daniel’s adds Cherry Coke RTD
The limited edition canned cocktail blends Jack Daniel’s Tennessee whiskey with Coca-Cola Cherry.
Beverage giants Jack Daniel’s and Coca-Cola continue their cross-branding partnership with a new limited edition RTD. Jack & Coca-Cola Cherry is canned at 7% ABV and will be available across the US.
“Building on our tradition of innovation, we’re excited to present a fresh take that marries the renowned character of our Tennessee Whiskey with the timeless taste of Coca-Cola Cherry,” Jack Daniel’s RTD brand director Mary Beth O’Mara said.
“This new Canned Cocktail embodies the perfect blend of sweetness and strength, making it an ideal choice for the season.”
Jack and Coke first teamed up in June 2022, with Jack Daniel’s owner Brown-Forman reporting 1.57 million 9L cases sold in 2023. The whiskey brand had previously released a Jack and Cola product that fell 29.1% last year, going from 7.4m cases to 5.3m.
In March, Jack Daniel’s released a Jack and Ginger Ale RTD, though that carries no crossover branding, which the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States defines as merchandise alcoholic products linked to existing non-alcoholic brands safely.
Jack and Coca-Cola Cherry retails for US$13 for a 4-pack and US$3.50 for a single can. It joins a line-up that includes Jack Daniel’s & Coca-Cola; Jack Daniel’s & Coca- Cola Zero Sugar; Jack & Ginger Ale; and Jack Honey & Lemonade.
As Brown-Forman grows the Jack Daniel’s canned cocktail line, it is also reaching new global markets. Recent launches in Chile and Brazil have been successful, fueling RTD interest in those countries.
