On 2 September, Cheers! Spirits from the USA – a campaign sponsored by trade body Discus and supported by the US Department of Agriculture – will host the first of two House of US Spirits pop-ups at TT in London.
Part of the programme on 2 September includes a panel discussion, titled ‘Pouring equality: women in the American whiskey industry’.
The trade association has confirmed the panellists for the talk will be: Christine LoCascio, Discus chief of policy, strategy and membership; Angela H Moore, chairwoman, Virginia Distillery; Shannon Tebay, Outernet Venues beverage director (and former head bartender at The American Bar at London’s Savoy Hotel); Sophia Rosser, brand ambassador for Bacardi-owned Angel’s Envy; and Stefanie Holt, curator of Mangrove World Whisky. Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business, will moderate the panel discussion, which will end with a Q&A session.
The panel discussion will take place from 4pm to 5pm BST. However, the event will run until 9pm. In addition to the panel discussion, attendees will have the chance to meet with craft distillers and industry leaders during this period.
Activities will include a portfolio tasting, private tastings, cocktail demonstrations, masterclasses, and a photography exhibition.
