Award-winning Desi Daru will be the official vodka pour at The Spirits Business Awards 2024.

Set to take place on 14 November at London’s Underglobe Theatre, the ceremony will be presented by Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman.

Desi Daru is a British-Indian vodka brand and currently has two expressions in its portfolio: Original, and Alphonso Mango.

Husband-and-wife team Mohit Singh and Aneet Kaur founded the vodka brand together, which launched in May 2023.

Desi Daru Alphonso Mango was crowned The Vodka Taste Master in The Vodka Masters 2023 – the highest award of the competition.

Singh confirmed both variants would be served during the awards.

“Being the official vodka sponsor at The Spirits Business Awards is a true honour for us,” said Singh. “We are very excited to be part of such a prestigious event and we are excited to get liquid to lips to some of the best talent in the industry.

“We can’t wait for guests to be able to learn more about our award-winning products, whilst we celebrate excellence across the spirits industry.”

Last month (July), Desi Daru hosted its inaugural Culture Colliders cocktail competition in London. The winner was Vitor Sousa, assistant bar manager at The Churchill Bar & Terrace in London.

The brand is currently working to raise £1 million (US$1.2m) to grow at home in the UK and internationally.

Tickets for The SB Awards are now on sale. Further details can be found on The SB Awards website.
