Crown Royal debuts bottled Whisky Sour

Diageo has expanded its ready-to-serve (RTS) cocktail line, The Cocktail Collection, with Crown Royal Black Cherry Whisky Sour.

Each bottle contains four or eight servings

The line launched in October 2023 and featured Ketel One Vodka Espresso Martini, a Ketel One Vodka Cosmopolitan and a Tanqueray Gin Negroni. Bulleit’s bottled Manhattan and Old Fashioned cocktails, which hit shelves in 2022, also formed part of the range.

Earlier this year, Diageo added a sixth product to the collection, a Margarita made using Astral Tequila. Diageo acquired the Tequila producer in 2020 when it bought Davos Brands.

The new RTS is made with Canadian whisky Crown Royal, lemon juice, and natural black cherry flavours. The brand suggests pouring the serve over ice in a rocks glass and garnishing with a cherry.

The 20% ABV cocktail is available in 350ml (four servings) and 750ml bottles (eight servings) for US$13.99 and US$25.99 respectively.

Crown Royal is most-known for its flavoured whiskies, with its most recent flavour, Blackberry, launching in April. The news of its launch was well-received, becoming our top-read story of the month.

Also famous for its blended whiskies, the brand surprised the sector in June when it entered the single malt category.
