Venues can register to participate in the global charity initiative from 7 August to 9 September.

The Slow Food Negroni Week Fund supports the hospitality community in partnership with Slow Food, the official giving partner. The initiative aims to preserve cultural and biological diversity, promote food and beverage education through knowledge exchange, and foster equity and justice.

In 2023, the initiative attracted more than 12,000 participating bars and restaurants across nearly 80 countries, raising more than US$600,000. In total, Negroni Week has raised more than US$5 million for charitable causes.

The 2023 Slow Food Negroni Fund awarded 24 industry professionals the opportunity to attend the Tales of the Cocktail conference in New Orleans in July 2024 and Terra Madre Salone del Gusto in Turin in September 2024, as well as providing grants for 17 community-based projects in 13 countries.

Last year, the fund invited applications from hospitality professionals keen on integrating Slow Food’s principles of ‘good, clean and fair food and beverage for all’ into their work. These education scholarships ran alongside the Negroni Week Fund Innovation Awards, which provide micro-grants to support community-based projects from individuals and organisations aiming to positively impact the hospitality and beverage sectors.

“We’re beyond excited about the return of Negroni Week. As the presenting sponsor of Imbibe’s global charity initiative at Campari, we pride ourselves on supporting and celebrating the industry that continues to raise the bar of mixology and of our beloved Negroni,” said Michele Porta, global channel and customer marketing director at Campari Group.

“The Slow Food Negroni Week Fund from last year saw some amazing professionals and projects being awarded so that they can further bring a positive contribution to the hospitality and beverage sector. Together with Imbibe and Slow Food, we look forward to extending our commitment as we raise a toast to Negroni Week 2024.”

Last month, Campari reported a 3.8% growth in net sales for the first six months of 2024.
