Rebel reveals 10-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon

Lux Row Distillers has announced the annual limited-edition release of Rebel 10-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon.

Rebel 10-year-old Single Barrel
The release is offered at 50% ABV

The single barrel expression is made according to Rebel Bourbon’s original, time-honoured wheated recipe created in 1849.

The whiskey offers notes of ‘vanilla and dark fruits followed by citrus and oak’ on the nose, joined on the palate by ‘caramel and citrus, and a velvety smooth oak finish with a hint of spice’.

“This annual Rebel 10-Year Single Barrel shows how Rebel is bridging the gap between its heritage and modern tastes,” said John Rempe, master distiller of Lux Row Distillers.

“I think consumers will appreciate the hand-crafted single barrel process when they experience the robust, rebellious flavour and mature finish of this extra-smooth sipping whiskey.”

The annual release consists of multiple independently bottled single casks and is offered at 50% ABV.

Rebel 10-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon retails for US$99.99 for a 750ml bottle, displaying the barrel number and an ‘aged since’ date.

In March, the firm added a six-year-old Bourbon to its Rebel 100 range, which is a collection of Bourbons all bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV).

Earlier this year, Rebel Bourbon became the official Bourbon of Richard Childress Racing, the No 8 Chevrolet and Nascar Cup Series champion Kyle Busch.

Luxco, established in 1958 by the Lux family, is one of the biggest spirits companies in the US.
