Edwards 1902 RTDs gain Co-op listing
English producer Edwards 1902 has secured a listing in Midcounties Co-op stores for its ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktails.
The producer branched into RTDs earlier this year in partnership with cordial brand Bottlegreen with the release of three vodka spritz flavours: Elderflower, Raspberry, and Lime & Mint.
The flavours mix Bottlegreen’s cordials with Edwards 1902’s English vodka, have a 5% ABV and contain less than 150 calories.
All three cocktails are now available at select Midcounties Coop stores in the UK for £2.90 (US$3.70)
Emma Hamilton, co-founder of Edwards 1902, said: We’re thrilled to announce that our new collaboration RTDs are now available at select Midcounties stores.
“The Cotswolds is home to Bottlegreen, and Edwards is gaining traction in these counties across our premium vodka portfolio.
“It feels like a great fit for both brands, and we’re excited to see the products grow and accelerate the RTD offering Co-op have in store for summer.”
The cocktails are also available at Sainsbury’s and Morrisons.
The RTD category is forecasted to grow by double digits from now until 2027 across 10 markets, according to data from IWSR Drinks Market Analysis. Consumers are favouring the format due to their convenience and flavourful options.
Edwards 1902 is made by Elsham Wold Distillery. The brand’s vodka received a Master medal at the 2020 Vodka Masters blind tasting, while at last year’s competition, its elderflower liqueur made in collaboration with Bottlegreen captured a Gold medal.
Beyond vodka, Elsham Wold also debuted a single malt whisky last year, which sold out less than a week after its launch.
