Teremana Tequila offers free guacamole

In celebration of Cinco de Mayo (5 May), Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s Teremana Tequila is giving away complimentary guacamole until the end of May.

As well as giving people free guac, the initiative looks to support US hospitality venues.

As part of the brand’s ‘Guac On The Rock’ initiative, it will reimburse visitors at selected US restaurants and bars for their guacamole orders when they purchase cocktails made with Teremana.

The offer will be available until 31 May and is also part of the brand’s ‘share the mana’ philosophy, which it says is about ‘bringing good energy, bringing people together, and doing the right thing’.

Customers, aged 21 and over, who order Teremana cocktails with guacamole will be reimbursed up to US$10. Participating venues can be found on guacontherock.com.

Johnson said: “For Cinco de Mayo and my birthday [2 May] this year, I’m happy that the guac will be on The Rock for a full month.

“It’s a testament to the incredible success of Teremana that we are able to give back to our tremendous bars and restaurants and our loyal fans for a fourth year in a row – in an even bigger way than before.

“I can’t wait to see more people come together to support our nation’s hospitality workers and say thank you by raising a Teremana toast and participating in Guac on the Rock.”

Now an annual tradition, the Guac On The Rock initiative began in 2021 and was introduced to support America’s bars and restaurants, adding extra revenue for local venues and tips of hospitality workers.

Teremana is looking to increase its global presence this year and will launch in the UK, Australia, Germany, United Arab Emirates and Colombia. It will also be available in global travel retail outside of the US for the first time.

In 2023, it became the fastest premium spirits brand to sell one million nine-litre cases in 12 months in the US.

Teremana is also expanding its distillery to meet increasing demand as the brand pursues international growth.
