Curatif launches RTD Piña Colada

Australian ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail company Curatif has launched a canned Piña Colada in preparation for summer.

The Piña Colada is the newest edition to Curatif’s range of pre-mixed cocktails, which already includes a Tommy’s Margarita, an Espresso Martini and a Cosmopolitan.

The cocktail combines Appleton Estate Signature and Ron Colón Salvadoreño rums with coconut and pineapple.

Managing director Matt Sanger said: “Our latest cocktail has been a labour of love that we’ve loved labouring over. Coconut is having a real moment, and it’s great to see a resurgence in this most loved and nostalgic cocktail.

“Piña Colada can be a hard one to crack in an RTD format because of the complexity of the ingredients while staying true to the authenticity of the recipe, but we have mastered a Piña Colada that is truly bar-quality.

“What sets Curatif apart is our use of real ingredients – the freshest pineapples, the creamiest of coconuts and the delicious blend of quality rums.

“It truly is a time machine in drink form that transports you back to your first, or best, Piña Colada. Which is why we say ‘you never forget your favourite Piña!’”

The company has previously introduced limited edition Piña Coladas for subscribers, but the cocktail has now been launched for a wider audience due to popular demand.

Sitting at 14.7% ABV, Curatif’s Pina Colada is now available on the brand’s website for AU$45 (US$29.50), for a four-pack of 130ml cans.

Based in Melbourne, Curatif was established in June 2019 and specialises in pre-mixed canned cocktails. Two years after its launch, it gained an  AU$2.5m investment from Endeavour Group.

At The Pre-Mixed and RTD Masters 2023, some of the brand’s cocktails were awarded Master and Gold medals.
