Scarfes Bar launches cocktail menu From Scratch
The latest cocktail menu from Scarfes Bar at the Rosewood London hotel is called From Scratch.
Officially launched on 8 April, the menu explores the DNA of classic serves with a Scarfes Bar twist.
The drinks list contains 22 cocktails, which were designed by the bar’s team, led by Martin Siska, area director of bars, and Yann Bouvignies. Bouvignies was the head mixologist at Scarfes Bar, but departed the venue earlier this year to oversee the opening of the Rosewood Hotel’s new bar in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
The new menu incorporates the team’s home-made cordials, ferments and distillates, which are created in the bar’s laboratory.
Savoury options include Gibson Please, which combines Grey Goose, Noilly Prat, Cubeb Pepper, apple, pickles, and a homemade pickled onion for garnish.
For fans of agave-based spirits, Rose Paloma is made from a blend of Komos Rosa, fig leaf, Palo Cortado and London Essence Pink Grapefruit Soda, topped with a lychee garnish.
Knock on Wood is one for whisky fans, made with The Macallan 12, cedar wood, acorn and Martini Ambrato, finished with a eucalyptus garnish.
Furthermore, Scarfes Bar has reimagined a long-running favourite, the White Lady, which was originally made in 1919 in Ciro’s Club in London. The new Spring Lady is a floral twist, combining No.3 Gin, St-Germain Long Pepper and Acacia Hydrosol and Jasmin Muyu.
In April 2023, Scarfes Bar marked its 10th anniversary with a celebratory cocktail menu that reprised old favourites from over the years.
