Finnish Long Drink adds peach variant
By Lauren BowesFinnish pre-mixed producer The Long Drink Company has added a permanent new flavour to its range following a successful limited release.
The peach flavour joins Traditional, Zero, Strong and Cranberry expressions in The Finnish Long Drink range.
The brand claims that long drinks are the best-selling category of liquor in Finland.
“We’re beyond ecstatic to make Peach a permanent product in our line-up,” said Sakari Manninen, the brand’s co-founder. “When we first rolled out the drink as part of our Midsummer pack, we didn’t have any plans on keeping it around past the summer. But the pack performed exceptionally well.”
“Since bringing long drinks to America, our focus has always been on educating consumers about the Finnish category with authentic flavours, and this continues to be our mission even as we grow and expand.
“We’ve waited a long time to introduce a new flavour to the market. We have been experimenting and investing time to ensure that any new flavour is truly an authentic long drink. Peach achieved just that and was just too delicious to not share with the world.”
The Finnish Long Drink Peach has an ABV of 5.5% and is distributed in 42 US markets. It’s available in packs of six with an RRP of US$11.99-US$13.99.
Co-founder Ere Partanen added: “Our goal has always been to introduce Americans to long drinks, and peach is a flavour that truly seems to resonate stateside, so what better way to bring even more fans into The Long Drink Family.”
In 2021, the company raised US$25 million to boost distribution and scale production. The brand is co-owned by American actor Miles Teller, who increased his stake in the business last year.
In 2023, it was named the fastest-growing spirits brand in the world.
