Miles Teller increases stake in Finnish Long Drink

American actor Miles Teller has taken a larger ownership stake in canned pre-mixed producer The Long Drink Company.

The Top Gun: Maverick star became co-owner of The Long Drink Company in August 2019, and has ‘helped build a presence’ for the brand in the US.

“I became an investor in The Finnish Long Drink because I think it’s the best in the market and has an authentic backstory. It’s high-quality stuff and I think consumers deserve a product that’s this good and refreshing,” said Teller.

“Now that we are available in over 34,000 locations and most major chains, I wanted to lead an investment that will further our growth, help us advertise nationally, and get the word out about The Finnish Long Drink – the best canned beverage in the game.”

In Finland, ‘long drink’ refers to a mixed drink made from gin and, most commonly, grapefruit soda.

Bottled at 5.5% ABV, The Finnish Long Drink is described as a “refreshing, citrus soda with a premium liquor kick”.

The brand said that as of 2023, it currently stands as the fourth most popular ready-to-drink (RTD) brand in the country.

“When we first started to work with Miles, we did so because of his passion for the authentic history behind the category,” added Danny Mandelbaum, vice-president of marketing.

“He’s a partner that has had full faith in us as a team and the product, and we’re excited to see what we accomplish with Miles in the year ahead.”

The Finnish Long Drink is now distributed in 43 US markets, and is available to purchase from the brand’s website and on Drizly.

Its portfolio of expressions include traditional (5.5% ABV), Zero (5% ABV), Cranberry (5.5% ABV), and Strong (8.5% ABV).

Last year, Miles Teller was featured in our round-up of spirits brands you might not know are celebrity-owned.
