Mintis creates G&T glass

Italian brand Mintis has designed its own glassware specifically for a gin and tonic.

The brand recommends a Gin & Tonic as the ideal serve for the glass

The glass – which the brand said has been prepared for spring and summer – is decorated with mint leaves to express the ‘minty freshness’ of the gin, as well as its 100% natural ingredients list.

Mintis Gin co-founder Stepan Stanek said: “We would like to enhance the experience of the freshness of mint gin for customers, so we created a special glass to make the aroma of Italian mint and fruit stand out even more.“

Mintis Gin first launched in 2021 and is now distributed in more than 30 countries, including Denmark, Croatia, the UK and Ukraine – all of which it entered last year.

The brand has four expressions in its portfolio: Originale, Amarena (cherry), Ribesa (blackcurrant) and Clementina.

All the gins are distilled in a custom-made vacuum still in Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, a process used to preserve the aromatic taste of local Pancalieri mint and local fruit.

The Amarena and Clementina expressions were Gold medal-winners in The Spirits BusinessGin Masters 2022 blind-tasting competition.

Mintis also recommended the blackcurrant expression with Sanpellegrino tonic to create the perfect Italian G&T.

Mintis’ sister brand, Serum Rum, has also dabbled with its own packaging design recently, releasing two luxury gift boxes for its Gorgas and Ancon expressions.

Both brands and their products will be present at trade show ProWein next month, which will take place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from 10-12 March. Visitors can find Mintis and Serum Rum at stand C38 in Hall 7.
