Kavalan sponsors SB Awards

Taiwanese whisky producer Kavalan will sponsor the Young Achiever of the Year prize at The Spirits Business Awards 2024.

The Spirits Business Awards (SB Awards) was established in 2019 with the aim of celebrating excellence across the spirits industry.

Kavalan sponsored the SB AwardsOn 14 November 2024, a black-tie event will take place at The Underglobe theatre in London, where the winners of each category will be revealed.

Categories span five core areas of the spirits trade: Retail and Marketing, Sustainability and Innovation, Tourism, Products, and People.

The Young Achiever of the Year accolade is open to those under the age of 35. Last year the title was awarded to Will Edwards of Archie Rose Distilling.

The entry deadline for this year’s awards is 28 June 2024. The shortlisted entries will be announced in August.

A spokesperson from the whisky brand said: “Kavalan sees this sponsorship as a natural extension of our dedication to fostering innovation within the spirits landscape.

“We look forward to witnessing the impact of these young achievers as they contribute to the industry’s growth, much like Kavalan’s own journey.

“As a brand that thrives on pushing boundaries, we wholeheartedly support and welcome the involvement of young enthusiasts in the industry.”

Kavalan Distillery is one of the biggest whisky success stories in Asia Pacific. Last year the brand completed construction on its third maturation warehouse.

In The World Whisky Masters 2023, the brand was awarded 12 Golds and a Silver.
