Black Tears is owned by Island Rum Brands, which also owns La Progresiva Cuban rums. The company was involved in Cuba’s first fully integrated rum production joint venture in more than two decades.

“I am thrilled about our new collaboration with Liquor Barons to introduce Black Tears Dry Spiced to Australian drinkers,” said Charles Docus, director of 3Two1 Drinks, which imports Island Rum Brands in Australia.

“The more quality rum we bring to our shores the better for the Australian population. Kudos to the Liquor Barons members for adding this gem of a Cuban rum on their shelves.”

3Two1 Drinks has a portfolio of premium spirits, liqueurs and syrups and was founded in 2018.

“Our partnership with Liquor Barons significantly increases the availability of Black Tears in western Australia,” said Helena Zakmane, international commercial and marketing director of Island Rum Brands.

“The listing will be supported by a number of promotions throughout the year, as well as in-store samplings, that will allow a large number of consumers to try our truly unique liquid created with Cuban passion.”
