Phenomenal Spirits appoints VP of US sales
Timothy Basham will take on the role of vice-president of US sales at Phenomenal Spirits.
Phenomenal Spirits is behind brands including RY3 Whiskey and Ron Izalco Rum.
In the newly created position, Basham will be responsible for spearheading the company’s commercial, distribution, and sales strategy development, as well as brand marketing and market activations.
Phenomenal Spirits founder and CEO Karthik Sudhir said: “We are thrilled to welcome Tim to the Phenomenal Spirits team.
“He is a proven leader with more than 25 years of outstanding experience in the spirits industry. Tim brings tremendous enthusiasm along with a wealth of skills and experience to the table that will be instrumental in helping us achieve our aggressive goals over the next five years and beyond.”
Prior to joining Phenomenal Spirits, Basham established a wholesale distribution business, working with more than 400 new brands and building a client base of more than 1,000 accounts.
He has also previously worked at distributors including Federal Wine & Liquor and Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC).
Basham said: “I am thrilled to be part of this growing and motivated team. In 2024 and beyond, our mission is to aggressively expand our distribution and sales footprint for Phenomenal Spirits Ron Izalco Rum and RY3 Whiskey portfolios.
“I am confident the team Karthik has assembled is primed and ready to make it happen in a big way!”
Last year, the California-based brand launched in four European markets.
