GCA eyes new markets for 2024
By Josh OsmanGCA, one of Turkey’s largest glass providers, aims to continue its global growth in 2024 and increase the number of countries to whom it exports to 50.

The company, which has focused on digital transformation in recent years, currently exports to more than 40 countries, with particular focus in the Middle East, Europe and Africa.
After what it described as a successful year in 2023, GCA is hoping to continue its growth throughout 2024.
It will focus on promoting its design and technology-oriented products, sustainability projects, new employee experience brand, and participation in international fairs and events.
Evaluating GCA performance in 2023, general manager Dr Abdullah Gayret said: “2023 was a very special year in which we put digital transformation at the centre of our business. Because of the rapid advancement of technology, customers’ expectations are also changing.
“Now customers expect not only a quality product or service, but also a good customer experience when purchasing products or services. Digital solutions have become an important tool to increase customer satisfaction.”
Gayret also emphasised GCA’s aim to raise growth above industry averages.
He added: “In 2023, we exported to domestic and foreign markets, especially in premium spirits glass bottle categories. Currently, about 30% of our business is covered by exports.
“In the last year, we have added Central America, South America and Mexico to our export countries. Next year, we plan to increase our premium spirits glass bottle projects, especially in global markets.
“With our renewed brand identity, we will continue to push the boundaries of glass packaging and shape it with innovation, further strengthening our leading position in the sector.”
In October, The Spirits Business spoke to Gayret about what it takes to operate a successful glass manufacturing business.
Last month (December), GCA attended a series of events to discuss issues surrounding glass and sustainable packaging. The events saw the company take an active role in addressing issues including innovations in the glass industry, sustainability and climate change.
