Shanky’s Whip, owned by importer and distributor Biggar and Leith, will be used to make Espresso Martinis at Fire Steakhouse & Bar, and Sole Seafood & Grill.

At Firesteak & Bar, the Espresso Martini will be made with Shanky’s Whip, Baileys, coffee and hazelnut syrup.

Meanwhile, at Sole Seafood & Grill, the cocktail will combine the Irish whiskey liqueur brand with Five Farms Cream Liqueur, hazelnut syrup and a double espresso.

The on-trade listings are part of the brand’s targeted focus on the UK and the Republic of Ireland. They follow the recent appointment of Tim Dunlop as European commercial director.

In November, the liqueur brand released four new formats worldwide, including a 1.75-litre bottle for on-trade venues.

The brand is available in the UK and the Republic of Ireland via distributor Dalcassian.

Earlier this month, Biggar and Leith revealed it had agreed a distribution deal with Black Sea Trade Group to launch Shanky’s whip in Georgia.

Biggar and Leith’s portfolio includes: Shanky’s Whip whiskey liqueur, Butterfly Cannon Tequila, Hotel Starlino aperitivo liqueurs and Maraschino cherries, Stambecco amaro, Gladstone Axe malt Scotch and Spytail rum.

Biggar and Leith was established in 2015 and is headquartered in New York, US.
