Biggar and Leith names European commercial director

Spirits creator, importer and distributor Biggar and Leith has appointed Tim Dunlop to the newly created position of European commercial director.

Biggar and Leith’s portfolio includes: Shanky’s Whip whiskey liqueur, Butterfly Cannon Tequila, Hotel Starlino aperitivo liqueurs and Maraschino cherries, and Stambecco amaro.

Dunlop will be tasked with leading the sales teams in several regions, focusing on the on- and off-trade, spanning specialist retailers and e-commerce sites.

Dunlop brings more than 12 years of experience to the company. His previous roles include brand director across leading spirits brands, distilleries and RTDs (ready-to-drink) at Hammonds of Knutsford.

Dunlop has also worked as head of e-commerce and premium retail at Mangrove.

Biggar and Leith believes Dunlop’s expertise will help the company to grow its footprint in key markets across the retail and hospitality sectors.

Dunlop will report to Biggar and Leith founder Elwyn Gladstone, who commented: “Tim joins us as we embark on a period of significant investment, expansion and growth in the UK and European markets specifically but also around the world. He will play a key role in the immediate and future success of the business.

Biggar and Leith was established in 2015 and is headquartered in New York, US.

Its portfolio also includes Gladstone Axe malt Scotch and Spytail rum.
