Deb Dasgupta joins Absolut marketing team
By Melita KielyPernod Ricard has appointed Deb Dasgupta to the position of vice-president global marketing for Absolut Vodka.
Dasgupta has more than 18 years of experience across numerous organisations, including Unilever, Reckitt, and PepsiCo.
Her work has taken her to various markets around the world and covered categories from beauty and personal care to home care, and food and drinks.
“Our ‘born to mix’ philosophy provides us with the ideal canvas to craft a more inclusive and dynamic world,” Dasgupta said. “It demonstrates the power of mixing different people, perspectives and cocktails across geographies.
“It’s deeply embedded in Absolut’s DNA, serving as our secret sauce to convey compelling stories in a meaningful and authentic way.

Dasgupta was educated and began her career in India. She said the ability to engage and mix a multitude of cultures and identities, using empathy as a driving force, is key to success in a fast-paced world.
Stéphanie Durroux, chief executive officer, The Absolut Group, noted that Absolut’s sales rose by 10% in the company’s full-year 2022/23 financial results, with 1.7 million nine-litre cases sold worldwide.
Durroux added: “We are delighted that Deb has joined our leadership team as Absolut Vodka looks to continue its growth momentum.

Earlier this month, Absolut Vodka revealed its design collaboration with singer and actor Olly Alexander.
