Following its successful debut earlier this month, trade fair Bar Convent Singapore (BCB Singapore) has revealed it will return next November.

The inaugural show saw 2,095 visitors fill the Pasir Panjong Power Station in Singapore

Held between 6-7 November at the Pasir Panjong Power Station in Singapore, the inaugural Asia show welcomed more than 2,000 industry professionals and featured 150 brands, as well as educational sessions and guest shifts.

Some of the companies in attendance, covering 18 countries, included Pernod Ricard, Brown-Forman, Rémy Cointreau and Campari Group.

Meanwhile, a Japanese Pavilion spotlighted 25 brands from the country and an Emerging Brands Pavilion showcased a range of global products to look out for in the future.

Henry Stonham, senior project manager of BCB Singapore, said of the show’s success: ‘‘We’re delighted with how the fundamental values of BCB were so well represented.

‘‘The goal next year is to build on these foundations by continuous conversations with brands, bars and industry partners, to make sure that we are delivering to their needs.

‘‘We will be spreading the word to connect the entire Asia Pacific region even more closely and, most importantly, striving to maximise value for our community so that everyone can grow together.”

BCB also oversaw 33 educational sessions, with learning a key theme for the weekend. Topics for these ranged from sustainability to bar design and tasting masterclasses.

Monica Berg, co-owner of London’s Tayēr + Elementary and creative director of Campari Academy, ran a presentation on opening your own bar.

A Homegrown Heroes programme then featured guest shifts from bars in Southeast Asia, with some of the highlights including Thailand’s in Thaislation and a collaboration between Singapore’s Atlas Bar and Penrose in Malaysia.

The exact dates for the November 2024 return are yet to be announced, though Bar Convent Berlin has confirmed that it’ll be back for 7-9 October 2024.
