From 9-11 October, industry professionals from around the world descended on the German capital for three days of networking, events, seminars and more.

Petra Lassahn, director of BCB, said: “Every year it’s incredibly nice to see how much our visitors enjoy coming to BCB time and again.

“You see happy faces everywhere and people from all over the world toasting with each other. BCB is a place where the industry focuses on itself and makes its community a better one – for itself and for the benefit of its guests.”

This year’s show offered 544 exhibitors and partners, with numerous visitors from Germany, the UK, Italy, Poland, the Netherlands and Denmark.

The 2023 event boasted the biggest education programme to date, offering lectures, panel talks, tastings and workshops.

“The sessions were not only informative and entertaining but also addressed many important social themes in the industry and provided important impulses,” Lassahn added.

A key topic of discussion was female empowerment and promoting equality in the on-trade, which was covered during a panel talk on the main stage.

Furthermore, Barro Negro Athens hosted the BCB Agave Embassy to promote agave spirits – this year’s ‘spirit of honour’.

The Low & No Bar, led by the team from The Cambridge Public House in Paris, showcased the best of lower-alcohol and booze-free serves.

The dates for next year’s BCB have also been confirmed; the show will return to Berlin from 7-9 October 2024.
