Alan Lodge Award 2023 open for entries

Do you have what it takes to be crowned The Alan Lodge Young International Drinks Writer of the Year? Here’s how to enter.

The Spirits Business is on the look out for the drinks industry’s best scribes as part of its annual Alan Lodge Young International Drinks Writer of the Year Award.

The award was established in memory of The Spirits Business’ late deputy editor, Alan Lodge.

It is open to journalists, columnists and bloggers under the age of 35 who write about wine, beer, spirits and cocktails.

Entrants have until 19 November 2023 to submit up to three pieces of writing published online or in print between 1 September 2022 and 31 August 2023.

Submissions will be assessed by an objective panel of experienced judges.

The winner of The Alan Lodge Young International Drinks Writer of the Year Award 2023 will be announced in December, and will also feature in the December issue of The Spirits Business magazine, and online.

Past winners of the award include Millie Milliken, Felipe Schrieberg, and Susannah Skiver Barton.
