Lex by Nemiroff ‘pushes boundaries’ of vodka
Ukrainian brand Nemiroff has released an ultra-premium vodka that uses 13 filtration stages that ‘push the boundaries’ of production.
The new Lex by Nemiroff vodka will make its debut at the Tax Free World Association’s (TFWA) travel retail conference in Cannes, France, on 3 October.
The final liquid was the result of more than 100 tastings and took nearly three years to develop.
It is made with wheat from the Podilia region in Eastern Europe, water from local springs, honey from local apiaries and linden flowers.
The production process involves 13 filtration stages, including silver, platinum, shungite, and amber filtrations.
Nemiroff highlighted the amber filtration process, said to create a vodka with ‘enhanced’ smoothness and flavour, improved clarity, and a golden hue.
Mykola Takzey, who joined Nemiroff in August as global chief marketing officer, said the brand has “pushed the boundaries of vodka production” by using a “new approach in distillation”.
“Achieving crystal-clear appearance without sacrificing flavour is a testament to remarkable talent, and we are immensely proud of this bold innovation,” he continued.
The resulting liquid offers a ‘velvety’ texture and mouthfeel, with biscuity undertones and a ‘rounded, smooth’ finish.
The bottle is made with perfume glass produced in France by Saverglass. Nemiroff is encouraging drinkers to reuse the bottle as a decanter.
Yuriy Sorochynskiy, CEO of Nemiroff, added: “Breaking free from traditional conventions, Nemiroff embarked on a journey to redefine the ultra-premium vodka experience for a new generation of discerning drinkers.
“Lex, derived from the Latin word meaning ‘law’, will be a best match for those who set their own rules of success and gourmet preferences.
“Our goal is to achieve perfection in every bottle. That is why our iconic vodka is predominantly assembled by hand, emphasising our artisanal approach and ensuring the utmost care throughout the production process.”
Lex by Nemiroff is recommended served over ice.
It will launch initially in travel retail, followed by global markets in the future.
The 40% ABV vodka is priced at RRP €80 (US$70) per one-litre bottle.
We recently spoke to Takzey to learn more about his plans for the brand.
