Langley’s is fifth-biggest gin in Greece
By Nicola CarruthersEnglish brand Langley’s is now the fifth-biggest standard-priced gin in Greece after doubling sales in 2022.

The gin brand climbed from its eighth-place position in the last year to fifth, placing it behind Gordon’s, Beefeater, Tanqueray and Bombay Sapphire.
Langley’s Gin has been available through marketing and sales company Amvyx since spring 2021. The company has secured listings for the brand in more than 800 venues.
Citing IWSR 2022 data, distributor Charter Brands said Langley’s had doubled its volume sales last year.
The distributor noted that tourist footfall had returned to pre-pandemic levels in Greece, however it noted that rising inflation has hit consumer spend. Charter Brands also said wildfires had affected trading in tourist hotspots such as Rhodes and Corfu.
Matt Ashton-Melia, managing director at Charter Brands, said: “As an industry we’re all tackling turbulent waters; Greece is a fine example of how global markets for gin are having to navigate this uncertain climate.
“We can’t pretend that global factors and local crises aren’t hindering growth, but what’s extremely encouraging is that despite this backdrop, Langley’s is still cutting through as a brand to back.
“We’re relatively new to market and come with a clear, purposeful brand proposition that rests on relentless quality and the freedom to enjoy gin as you like.”
Earlier this year, the brand gained distribution deals in France and Uruguay.
In February, Langley’s gained B Corp certification as it aims to become the ‘most responsible, accessible gin brand’ in the market.
