Tanqueray names global brand ambassador

Diageo has promoted Jenna Ba to the role of global brand ambassador for its Tanqueray No. Ten gin.

The new position will see Ba help shape the future of Tanqueray No. Ten’s experiences, including in the on-trade by sharing her knowledge and skills, and providing tools to ‘elevate’ cocktail experiences.

Ba joined Diageo’s World Class community in 2016 and was subsequently hired by the Tanqueray gin owner.

In recent years, Ba has worked with several brands in Diageo’s Reserve portfolio, including her role as brand ambassador for Bulleit Bourbon in Great Britain.

She has also helped to educate, mentor, and judge Diageo’s World Class programme.

Nitesh Chhapru, global brand director for Tanqueray, said: “Jenna brings so much energy and passion, we can’t wait for her to get started.

“Her experience across a variety of roles in the hospitality industry around the world gives her an edge and insight which will prove invaluable for us as we work to connect with the global industry.”

Ba has nearly two decades of experience in the hospitality sector, including working at London venue Chiltern Firehouse.

“I am so delighted to officially join the House of Tanqueray,” Ba added. “No. Ten is an iconic brand at the heart of the craft cocktail renaissance. In my 17 years of experience working in the hospitality industry, No. Ten is a liquid I have always loved working with, so to be part of the story of the brand that Charles Tanqueray created is a career high.

“We have just launched our new Tanqueray No. Ten signature serve, and I can’t wait to share a ‘Tiny Ten’ toast with all of the wonderful tastemakers across the globe in the coming months.”

Ba will also be involved in the World Class cocktail competition, which culminates with the global finals and cocktail festival, held in São Paulo, Brazil, this September.

Earlier this month, Tanqueray launched global campaign Let’s Live Magnificently, encouraging consumers to seize the day.
