The vodka will be available in the UK from 1 June

Altamura will be available in the UK via distributor Boutinot UK from 1 June.

The vodka claims to be the first spirit made from 100% ancient Altamura grains.

Frank Grillo, founder of Altamura Distilleries, said: “We are excited to offer a vodka that is truly unique and represents the values of our company.

“Altamura Vodka is a state of mind, a world made of people who love to share and live their lives fully.

“Strong but elegant, intense but smooth, this vodka represents a new and undiscovered tasting experience. We are sure you will love it.”

The Italian vodka sits at 43% ABV. It retails for RRP €39 (US$42) per 700ml bottle.

The wheat used to make the vodka has been grown in Altamura or the adjoining communes of Puglia in Italy for more than 2,000 years.

Altamura received two Gold medals and two Silver awards from The Global Spirits Masters Competitions 2022 series. The medals were awarded during The Vodka Masters 2022 and The Design & Packaging Masters 2022 competitions.

In more recent vodka news, earlier this month Desi Daru launched two ultra-premium expressions designed to celebrate the best of Indian and British ingredients.

Meanwhile, Au Vodka was named the fastest-growing company in the UK.
