Drinktank app pays bartenders for advice
By Nicola CarruthersOn-trade platform Drinktank has launched a new app to ‘revolutionise’ the way brands and bartenders collaborate through insights.

Drinktank was launched in 2018 to help alcohol brands and the on-trade collaborate on ideas and provide advice. The idea stemmed from a desire to change how brands develop and implement campaigns.
The think tank initiative has released a new app that gives brands ‘simple and easy’ access to global insights and pays users for their expertise.
The app will send insight requests to more than 1,400 bartenders and bar experts, dubbed the ‘Drinktank Collective’.
The platform will provide insights on topics such as new product development, brand relaunch strategies and advocacy programme development.
The new app progresses from ‘traditional third-party bartender-led panel research’ to provide brands with ‘robust’ insight reports directly from bartenders.
Each member of the collective is paid for their time and Drinktank does not receive any money. Payments to industry members for their expertise are made instantly.
Push notifications will also keep members up to date when new briefs become available, and payments are made.
The app is available to download for free from the Apple and Google Play stores.
